Open all year, we offer general and intensive courses, plus Examination Preparation Courses including IELTS, Cambridge Certificate FCE, CAE, CPE and TOEFL. 

Oxford is known as the ‘City of Dreaming Spires' and life in the city revolves around its prestigious university, which was established in the 12th century. Oxford has approximately 40,000 students and 39 university colleges providing a unique 'student' atmosphere - an ideal place to learn English!

Torquay is located on The English Riviera in South West England, one of the most beautiful areas of Britain. 


Oxford College of English in Torquay offers an ideal opportunity to combine English classes and a full programme of cultural, social and sporting activities together with excursions to many local places of interest. We offer standard and special courses for groups offering very competitive prices.       

English language courses are available for all levels of English from Beginners to Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced English. On the first morning at school students take an assessment test to ensure they are being taught at the right level and placed in the correct class.


All of our teachers are trained to teach English to foreign students and ensure that students maximise their potential.


In Torquay we offer Standard Courses offering 15* hours English lessons per week. *In Torquay our lessons are in ‘real time’, 1 hour lesson is 60 minutes!
