  • Typical learners are able to use the language easily and fluently, and are aware of the relationship between language and culture, and of the significance of register. With the ability to adapt language to context and situations, using English in a creative and flexible way. However students may still have trouble in some particularly complex situations, and responding to multiple sources of information on unfamiliar topics.

  • CPE: A very advanced level exam – the highest qualification in the main-suite of Cambridge ESOL General English examinations.
  • CPE is for students who hold a high level of language skills and are able to function effectively in almost any English-speaking context. Students will have a grasp of English similar to that of an educated native speaker. The main focus of a course is therefore on lexical and pragmatic features, rather than grammatical features of the language.
